Our Team Has History
Our story began on October 8th, 2009, with a $240 caulking job in Candiac. Marc-André La Barre had just build 3 days before an homemade website offering caulking services. He did the job by himself at first with the simplest set of tools: a caulking gun, a knife and a small ladder. Demand was great so he expanded its services to include painting and residential renovations.

After the first year, Natacha Mc Vie, actual partner and Director of Operations for Lab.Space, was hired and together they navigated through various challenges with employees, subcontractors, clients, and finances to gain a lot of experience. In 2018, after completing a multi-million residential renovation project, they realized that no one in their team was happy with residential work anymore and thus decided to focus solely on commercial, office and medical clinic projects. They rebranded as Lib. Workspace inc. and experienced a significant increase in satisfaction and business volume.

Where Does Lab.Space Come From Exactly ?
In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic brought a new type of opportunities. After successfully completed a small project in a biopharmaceutical center in Laval, our team was offered to work on many larger, and more complexe lab space design and construction projects. With clients grateful for our turnkey, simpler and faster process, Lib. was quickly recognized as an expert and was trusted with complete builing conversions from office space to biotech centers comprised of common areas, office space and, a lot of custom laboratories. Since lab spaces currently represents the vast majority of our projects, we decided it was time to make our expertise more obvious for everyone and slightly change our name from Lib.Space to Lab.Space.
Lab.Space is the same legal entity as Lib.Space. We offers the same turnkey design and construction services. We are still the same team of experienced and passionate professionals. We are just more focus than ever.
